I'm Giselle from @egobeauty.ca and today I will show you how to create a gorgeous floral embossed design so you can watch your nails bloom like spring after a long winter.
First things first, here's a list of what you will need to recreate this look:
Â
#445 Just For You from K&Câs Speckled Stone Collection
Â
Â
Other gel polishes used in the full set design:
Â
Now, onto the steps! âŹïž âŹïž âŹïž
(Click here to watch a video demo of this technique)
Â
Step 1:
Start with a base of your favourite shade from K&Câs Speckled Stone Collection, I am using #445 Just For You. This will be the background for our flowers so consider choosing a shade that will contrast with the colors picked for the florals and make sure to do as many coats as needed for full opacity, I did 2. Then finish off with Shine Top Coat.
Step 2:
Well be creating some green leaves so using #259 Green Tea and K&Câs Detailer #3 start by painting the stem, place the brush lengthwise at the centre of the nail and drag out at an angle.
Â
Then create the leaves with a drop like shape, starting with a speckle on the side and then connecting it to the stem by dragging the brush towards it.
Repeat the drop-like shapes in different sizes to create the illusion of several leaves on the stem. Do not cure the design just yet.
Step 3:
Once youâre happy with your leaves, go ahead and sprinkle some Nail art powder over it, make sure to wait for the powder to absorb into the gel polish and continue to sprinkle some more until fully coated. Then go ahead and cure and once cured you can dust off the excess powder.
Step 4:
Next, weâll create a rose in the centre of the nail. Using #310 Hotsy-Totsy and a dotting tool, place a drop of gel polish and spread it to form a bigger speckle. Then while the first speckle of gel polish is still wet, pick up a drop of #152 LilâLamb, place it in the centre of the first speckle and swirl it counter clockwise. Cure and wipe off the dispersion layer.
Step 5:
Now that we have the base for our rose, weâll repeat the process of creating the embossed effect for this floral as well. Using K&Câs Detailer #3, paint small C-like lines starting from the centre and wrapping them around towards the outside of the speckle, this will create the illusion of petals for our rose. Then while still wet, sprinkle some Nail art powder and cure. Then dust off the excess powder.
Optional:
You may continue repeating the process of painting extra flowers and sprinkling them to create all kinds of floral patterns. Combine the use of different color backgrounds with flowers in varied sizes and shapes to create a complete set and voila! Youâll end up with a ready for spring design.

After a busy summer season full of neons, sparkles and bling, I feel like Iâm finally ready to welcome the fall season with its warm and inviting tones. I sure love me some good solid nudes but Iâd be lying if I didnât admit that sometimes the subtle nude shades seem to be missing a little something something to give them that extra spark. If youâre like me and are looking for a good way to take your nude needs to the next level, well I have just the right thing for you!
Â
Koko & Claire has partnered with CJS to bring you the most luxurious nude selection yet with a genius pairing including the new âNaked silhouetteâ stamping plates to take your nude game to the next level, whoever thought of nude shades as boring colours will have to think again because this pairing is not only exciting but also offers unlimited possibilities for looks to try this fall season.
Â
Im Giselle from @egobeauty.ca and today I will show you how to create a sophisticated nude design that requires minimal effort and thatâs sure to impress, so keep on reading
Â
First things first, here's a list of what you will need to recreate this stylish look:
CJS H-204, CJS H-205, CJS 195, CJS 196,
Now, onto the steps! âŹïž âŹïž âŹïž
Â
Step 1:
Start with a base of gel polish 352 âMarshmallowâ, a milky white base perfect for our neutral tones to be combined with. Apply a couple of thin coats for the perfect coverage.
Â
Step 2:
Then, apply gel polish 341 âTruffleâ on a section of the nail, you can use the brush directly from the bottle.
Â
Next, using a detailer brush, perfect the outline of the speckle and cure, weâre doing an abstract design so keep in mind it doesnât have to be perfect or symmetrical at all.
Step 3:
Repeat the same process placing a couple more speckles on different parts of the nail, Iâm using gel polish 344 âCoffee Beanâ and Iâm placing the second polish right across from the first spot.
Again, use your detailer brush to help you define the specks. Cure once youâre happy with the outcome.
Lastly, using gel polish âPeachâ, place the third speck slightly overlapping the first two and define it as well. Finish with K&C Shine Top Coat.
Step 5:
Weâll get to stamping now! Iâm using CJS stamping polish 112 and stamping plate CJS 195. Then place the polish on your favourite stamp, scrape off excess polish and using a clear jelly stamper, pick up the stamp and position it on the center of the nail. The clear jelly allows you to see through it so you can place the stamp just in the right spot.
Press down on the nail and gently roll away the stamper
Repeat using a different stamp to add more abstract elements to our design.
Step 6:
Finish off with K&C Matte Top Coat.
And voila! Weâre done đ€©đ€©đ€©
Â
How fun was that?
Neutral tones are the perfect base to add some detailed line work for an elegant yet eye catching design, however It is not always easy for all to hand paint intricate designs so using stamps can be a very effective solution to the problem. Combining a few gel polish shades with some stamps will give us results that are sure to impress but that were in fact done with ease!
I love a good nude shade for a casual and elegant everyday look but sometimes I do need a little something to spice up my day and with the new In the Buff - Naked and Gorgeous! Collection the task has gotten so easy that it will have you saying âsend more nudes!â đđ đ

Fall is fast approaching and what better way to welcome it in than with Glitter Nails!
Koko and Claire have given us several gorgeous loose glitters in their Sprinkles Collection and this set of 6 Fall Glitters are no exception, they are so sparkly.
I know a lot of people shy away from loose glitter, especially chunky glitter. Many are unsure how to apply them and get a smooth finish without a thick nail.
Â
Hi, I am Heather from @splash.of.sass.nails and I use loose glitter often in my nail studio. There is nothing more amazing than the depth and dimension you can create with loose glitter. I am going to give you an easy way to apply loose glitter to your nail all while keeping it smooth and beautiful.
And as an added bonus I will show you a simple hand drawn art technique, for those of you that need that something extra!
Â
Here is a list of what you will need to Glitter Up your Fall Nails:
Â
Â
âš Let the Glitter Magic Happen! âš
Â
Â
Step 1
Â
Step 2
Â
Step 3
Â
Â
**Tip**
Glitter is messy and will make a mess of your brush, so picking a brush, even an older one to be your designated glitter brush is a good choice.
Â
Â
Step 4
Â
Step 5
Â
Step 6
Â
Step 7
Â
Step 8 (art time)
 Step 9
Â
Step 10
Â
**Pro Tip**
FLASH CURE your art. Cure the gel polish for 5-15 secs after every few art steps. This cures the gel just enough so it doesnât move and if you make a mistake on another area itâs easy to just wipe it away.
Â
Step 11
Â
Â
Your nails with art are Done!!
Â
Now did that make using loose glitter seem easier? I hope it did, and if you have any questions, please reach out to us.
I canât wait to see what you create with the Sprinkles glitter, and remember to tag @kokoandclaire #KKCPolish and myself @splash.of.sass.nails on social media so we can see and share your beautiful glitter creations.
Â
Happy Fall Everyone!

Im Giselle from @egobeauty.ca and in this occasion I am bringing you a very cool tutorial on how to create a stunning design that involves very little effort yet it gives an over the top look by combining metallic notes with glitter, matte finishes and effortless application #easynaildesigns am I right? đ đ đ
Â
Stay with me and keep on reading because not only will I show you how to create a watercolour influenced design but also an optional full blinged out alternative for those of you who may want to elevate this design with the addition of embellishments.
Â
First things first, here's a list of what you will need to recreate this showstopper look:
Â
Â
(Click here to watch a video demo of this technique)
Â
The first thing to keep in mind, when working with these alcohol inks, is that they better apply on a non-sticky or matte top coated surface. So start by applying and curing your base colour (I used a thin layer of #93 Pink Berry), then wipe off the sticky layer using Cleanse and a lint free wipe.
Start by giving your Koko & Claire alcohol ink a really good shake before working with it, shake shake shake! You want all the pigment to mix very well with the solution in the bottle.
Now, letâs dive right into the alcohol ink application and proceed by âswipingâ the ink with the brush onto the nail, one layer at the time.
Â
Also, try âdroppingâ the product by just simply dabbing with the brush in a touch and go motion to place the individual drops of ink on the nail.
I like to mix in between âdroppingâ and âswipingâ the ink, be strategic and leave some areas with no ink at all while saturating others, this will give your design a more organic look.
At this point you could very well top coat your nail and finish but if you want to take it a bit further, then follow me. Using your favourite glitter or foil gel, apply a few specks on the nail, I like to focus the glitter where there is a bit more saturation of the ink.
Once youâre happy with the outcome then go ahead and cure to set the glitter in place and finish off with Shine top coat.
Â
Â
So Thatâs it!! Now youâre done. A gorgeous watercolour inspired design with a touch of glam.
âš

Â
Â
Â
But wait! You may be wondering, âGiselle, where is the blinged out option you promised us?!â. Well, here we go! Keep on reading for details on how to take the watercolour design to the next levelâŠâŹ
Â
Once you have your shine top coat cured, apply Matte Top coat and create an oval shape on the nail plate, think of a French tip design, the pink part of the French is where the matte should go. Cure your matte coat.
Using K&C Detail Brush #3 and a matching color gel paint (tack free works best), outline the smile line of the matte section and cure.
Using your favourite jewelry gel or glue, apply gold crystals (or your preferred colour of crystal) on the centre of the smile line. I like to place my crystals close together and add caviar beads in between the crystals to give it an encrusted diamond vibe, this will resemble the prongs that hold the diamonds on jewelry pieces.
You may combine this watercolour inspired technique with a few solid color nails and youâll have a complete set thatâs ready to impress!! đ đ đ
Â
What do you think of the final look?? I know I sure love it!! đđđ âš
Â
Quick and simple designs are a must have for busy days in which time can be a constraint and the K&C Alcohol Inks Fall Collection is here to help us create showstopper designs with a very fast application that requires little effort, yet if youâre looking for a more elevated version, adding crystals and a mix of matte and shiny sections will definitely do the trick.
Â
I hope youâve enjoyed this tutorial, make sure to give it a try and when you do please tag @kokoandclaire and me @egobeauty.ca on social media so we can see and share your beautiful creations.
Until next time, stay creative!! Xxo Giselle đđđ

Peel Off Base, Base, Builder, Builder Base, Builder Gel, Builder In A Bottle⊠đł đ€Ż What is the difference?!  Choosing the right one for you can be overwhelming. Let us help! đ
Â
âPeel Off Baseâ is our signature WATER SOAK OFF base gel. This is perfect for the person with strong natural nails with a bit of length (free edge), wanting a salon quality mani at home that they can change easily every 5-10 days.Â
Â
5-10 days? Why such a range in longevity? Â
Everyoneâs nail chemistry and they way we use our hands is different. For example, I may have strong natural nails but I type all day at work. Continuous typing can wear down the color/shine on my free edge breaking the seal to my base layer. This can result in chipping or early separation.Â
Â
Ways to increase longevity when using Peel Off BaseÂ
Â
PRO TIP: Short nails (no length past the end of the skin/finger) are very difficult to âcapâ. Â This could mean your mani is not sealed properly and water/moisture will affect the Peel Off Base quickly. Â Try using a Builder Gel to help grow out your nails first!!
Â
Â
Builder Gels (Formerly Builder Base)Â
Â
Our new Builder Gels offer the strength and rigidity of a more traditional hard gel with the ease of a self-leveling formula.
Â
Builder Gels are great options for anyone with thin, weak or damaged nails and for anyone wanting to grow out their nails.Â
Â
What is a Builder Gel?
A One-Step Builder Gel in a Bottle designed to add strength and durability when applied as an overlay on natural nails, tips or extensions.
Â
Will it soak off in water like your Signature Peel Off Base?
No, Builder Gels only soak off in Acetone.Â
Â
Is Strong considered a Builder Gel?
Yes! Strong can be used for a clear overlay and will only soak off in Acetone.Â
Â
Do I have to soak it or file it all off every time I do my nails?
No! As your nails grow out, you can simply rebalance or âfillâ the regrowth area! Go to our VIP Facebook Group or check out our YouTube Channel for tutorials!
Â
I love the color of the Builder, but what if I want a change sometimes?
No problem! Apply our 'Signature Peel Off Base' OVER TOP the Builder, followed by the color of your choice and then finish with Shine/Matte.Â
When you are ready for a color change again, simply buff the Shine/Matte to break the seal and soak in warm soapy water for 10min to remove the Peel Off Base/Color layers, leaving the Builder Gel intact!
